I really disagree on this one. Sure, it's not always possible to just compare two musical pieces and say that one is better than the other but there are certainly levels of quality. At some point it doesn't matter anymore and any piece is simply great but artists have to work to reach that point of perfection. Whenever one achieves great improvements he is gonna claim that his new pieces are much better than his old stuff. I bet that soon you will also disagree with your own words. :)
